Set up tasks

During the admission process, institutions may require applicants to complete various activities, for example:

  • Submit language proficiency test results
  • Provide references
  • Upload supporting materials

In DreamApply, these activities are managed through tasks. A task is a specific action item assigned to an applicant to help them fulfill admission requirements. Tasks automate document collection, help aggregate information in an organized way and streamline communication.

To assign tasks to applicants, institutions configure task templates. All assigned tasks appear as a checklist in the Tasks view of the DreamApply portal. If an applicant applies for several programmes with the same task, that task appears in the checklist only once.

Once assigned, applicants can update the task status to communicate the progress to the admission team.
