Email types
DreamApply handles various types of emails such as:
- Authentication-related emails
- Messages sent to applicants
- Messages sent to other parties such as Administrators, advisors
These types of emails are sent in different ways, each tailored to its specific purpose.
Authentication-related emails
Authentication-related emails are sent by DreamID, the DreamApply service that provides a secure authentication layer for applicants and Administrators.
DreamID sends the following types of emails:
- Confirmation emails: Sent to verify or change the email address associated with the DreamApply account
- Confirmation emails for account deletion: Sent to confirm the user’s intent to delete their DreamApply account
- One-time verification link: Used to verify the email address ownership
Authentication-related emails are sent on behalf of the institution in the text and HTML format with the following parameters:

While the content of authentication-related emails is generally preset and cannot be adjusted, the institution can customize the email visual styles such as theme colors and logo to align with its branding and design guidelines.
Messages sent to applicants
DreamApply automatically sends emails to applicants to guide them throughout the application process. These emails inform applicants about important steps, deadlines and updates.
DreamApply sends the following types of emails to applicants:

The parameters used to send emails to applicants depend on the enabled email messaging mode.
If the regular email messaging mode is enabled, messages are sent with the following parameters:

Unless specified otherwise in the table above, the subject line of these emails cannot be customized. The email content can be adjusted through email templates.
Messages sent to other parties
DreamApply can automatically send messages to other parties involved in the application process. These include emails to Administrators and advisors, link sharing emails and similar communications.
DreamApply sends the following types of emails to other parties:
