Create scoresheets

To start evaluating applicants, you need to create scoresheets in DreamApply. Each scoresheet focuses on a single assessment area, for example, language proficiency or academic performance.

Before you begin

To create scoresheets, your account must have the Superuser role or the scorers permission with access to all scoresheets.

Add scoresheets

To add scoresheets:

In the main menu, under Scoring, select Scoresheets.
At the bottom of the list, click New scoresheet.

You must assign roles and permissions to Administrators and grant them access to specific scoresheets.

To manage access to scoresheets, your account must have the Superuser role or the administrators permission.

Assign roles and permissions

Administrators require the Admissions administrator role to view and enter scores in applications. We recommend that you grant this role to all Administrators involved in the evaluation process.

To systematically assess submitted applications, you must add applications to scoresheets.

Applications can be added to scoresheets in the following ways:

Using criteria (recommended): Define specific evaluation criteria and assign them to programmes. When an applicant applies for a programme, DreamApply automatically adds their application to the relevant scoresheets that feed those criteria.
Using rules: Set up rules to automatically add applications to scoresheets based on specific requirements.
Manual adding: Administrators and applicants can manually add applications to scoresheets. This method is especially useful for unlisted scoresheets.

DreamApply offers several ways to collect and record scores depending on the scoresheet type and the required level of expertise:

Applicant self-scoring: For public and unlisted scoresheets, applicants can enter their own scores by using the Scores section on the application edit page. DreamApply automatically saves this data and makes it available to evaluators for subsequent review.
Expert evaluation: For scoresheets that require professional judgment, institutions can manage the scoring process in the following ways:
