DreamApply supports two setup options for institutions:

Single-institution instance: This setup is recommended for organizations operating as a single entity, such as smaller schools, colleges or universities with a centralized structure. All departments and programmes are managed within one institution in DreamApply.
Multi-institution instance: This setup is designed for larger organizations or federations that comprise multiple institutions. Each institution maintains its own academic structure, departments, programmes and admission processes while operating within a single DreamApply instance.

When setting up institutions in DreamApply, you need to provide detailed information about your organization. Make sure the data you specify is comprehensive and accurate, as it will be used in:

DreamApply portal for applicants
Documents provided to applicants
Reports

Before you begin

To edit institution details, your account must have the Superuser role or the institutions permission.

Provide general information

You need to provide key information that defines your institution. If your organization operates in the multi-institution setup mode, make sure you enter accurate information for each institution within your organization.

Set up departments

As part of the setup process, you can configure departments in DreamApply. Departments serve as primary organizational units or subdivisions within the institution. They represent specific disciplines or group related fields of study, such as Science, Art or Engineering.

Departments are optional in DreamApply and are used mostly for categorization purposes. If the administrative structure of your institution does not group by departments, you can skip this task.

To showcase your institution effectively, you can set up its profile. The profile information, along with general institution details, is displayed on the About us page in the DreamApply portal, giving prospective applicants a clear and engaging view of your institution.
